Eleocharis acutangula (Hollow Stem Spike Rush) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Pampa, Mato Grosso Do Sul, ParaíBa, Rio Grande Do Norte, Bahia, Roraima, Piauí, Caatinga, Pantanal, Maranhao, Alagoas, Espirito Santo, Pará, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Santa Catarina, Ceará, SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, Minas Gerais, Paraná, GoiáS, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves.
