Cenchrus ciliaris (Buffel Grass) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They are native to Iran, Swaziland, Libya, Spain, Egypt, Italy, Namibia, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Pakistan, Mali, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Iraq, Indonesia, North America, India, Zimbabwe, Syria, Afghanistan, Botswana, Uganda, Senegal, Ethiopia, Sudan, Mozambique, Angola, Israel, and Jordan. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Petrorossia guanchorum and Phaneroptera sparsa. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
