Bromus catharticus (Rescuegrass) is a species of annual grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pampa, Distrito Federal, Rio De Janeiro, Paraná, SãO Paulo, and Cerrado. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Individuals can grow to 1 m.
