Imperata cylindrica (Cogongrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They are native to Thailand, Eastern North America, Japan, Asia, The Philippines, and Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii. Flowers are visited by Hypotrigona ruspolii.
