Paspalum plicatulum (brownseed paspalum) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, the contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Roraima, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Amazônia, São Paulo, Goiás, Maranhao, Paraná, Distrito Federal, Rio de Janeiro, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Pantanal, Mata Atlântica, Pará, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Pampa, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Pantanal, Pampa, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Maranhao, Tocantins, Roraima, Goiás, Amazônia, Cerrado, Alagoas, Rondônia, Amapá, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Mata Atlântica, and Distrito Federal. It has simple, broad leaves and green flowers. It is a photoautotroph.
