They are native to Maranhao, SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Santa Catarina, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Amazônia, Ceará, Pará, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, Paraná, Piauí, and Caatinga. They have simple, broad leaves.
