Egeria densa (Brazilian Elodea) is a species of perennial herb in the family Hydrocharitaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Pampa, Minas Gerais, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Argentina, Bahia, Caatinga, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Uruguay, Pernambuco, Santa Catarina, Sergipe, North America, Brazil, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, and Cerrado. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.6 m.
