Dasylirion wheeleri (Common Sotol) is a species of shrub in the family Asparagaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America, North America, United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and samara. Flowers are visited by Yellowjackets. Individuals can grow to 4.6 m.
