Agapanthus praecox (African Lily) is a species of perennial herb in the family Amaryllidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to South Africa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Papilio multicaudata multicaudata, Buff-tailed bumblebee, Western Tiger Swallowtail, and Palamedes Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 1 m.
