Taxodium distichum (Bald Cypress) is a species of tree in the family Cupressaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, United States, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and cones. Individuals can grow to 130 feet.
