Glyptemys insculpta (Wood Turtle) is a species of turtles in the family Emydidae. They are listed as endangered by IUCN, as threatened by COSEWIC, and in cites appendix ii. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous. They rely on swimming to move around.
