Cardinalis cardinalis (Northern Cardinal) is a species of birds in the family cardinals. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic and The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Arbor-vitae, Snake root, Black Birch, and staghorn sumac. They are diurnal herbivores. They have parental care (female provides care, occasionally breeds cooperatively, and paternal care). They rely on flight to move around.
