Hemitragus hylocrius (Nilgiri Tahr) is a species of mammals in the family Bovidae. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a grazer. Individuals are known to live for 207 months and can grow to 75000 g. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. Nilgiri Tahr relies on running to move around.
