Aspidotis densa is widely distributed in western North America. The species is found in southwestern Canada south to Washington, Oregon and California. The eastward extent of the distribution includes Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and even to Quebec and southeast Canada (including the Gaspé Peninsula).
