One of the paratypes of this species (USNM E 32686) was collected East of Limon Bay (Centroid Latitude: 9.2133, Centroid Longitude: -81.7833), Colon, Panama, Caribbean Sea, by the R. V. Pillsbury from a depth range of 46 to 47 m.
