Description: Polski: Zdjęcie przedstawia różnorodne mikroorganizmy bytujące na powierzchni listka wodnej rośliny - wywłócznika. Taki zespół organizmów nazywa się peryfitonem. Na zdjęciu widoczne są liczne okrzemki z rodzaju Tabellaria. Obecne są również długie, pałeczkowate okrzemki z rodzaju Synedra. Mikroorganizm z lewej strony zdjęcia, w kształcie kieliszka, to sysydlaczek - pierwotniak z grupy orzęsków. Powiększenie 200X. Technika oświetleniowa - polaryzacja. English: The image presents various microorganisms living on watermilfoil surface. Such group of microorganisms is called Periphyton. In the picture can be seen numerous diatoms from Tabellearia genus. Diatoms from Synedra genus are also visible. They are long and rod-shape diatoms. The microorganism seen on the left similar to the wine glas is suctorian. It belongs to ciliates, a kind of protozoans. Magnification is 200X. Technique of the illumination is polarized light.
