Urosporid gregarines, mucron simple; gamonts with sparse, poorly developed myonemes, with ellipsoidal paramylon bodies; gamont locomotion by gliding; gamont nucleus with one or more endosomes; syzygy head-to-head; oocysts with dissimilar ends, having a funnel-shaped opening at one end and 6 small tubular formations at the other; oocysts with 8 sporozoites and a very small residuum; in polychaete; one species P. typica Lang, 1954.
