Description: English: Knautia arvensis is common along the Trail Creek Road in and around the boundary of Gallatin and Park Counties. According to Chris Bakwin, a local land owner and rancher, some of these population have been present since the middle 1980's. Livestock grazing reduces the abundance of this species. Populations soon rebound when grazing is reduced. In general, the native and introduced plant diversity is very high in this region, both along the road and in the pastures and meadows.
