Description: A female bumble bee, probably Bombus vosnesenskii, "rescued" from being stepped-on. I found this bee in harms way on the paved Stevens Creek Trail. She was lethargic so I nudged her onto this leaf. After taking photos I placed her in the late-day sunshine, well off the trail.
