Description: Galium aparine in Icebox Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Spring Mountains, southern Nevada (elev. about 1400 m); although this species is not recorded in the 2007 checklist for the Spring Mountains, it is known from the Mojave Desert generally, and the combination of 6-8 leaf whorls with the minutely hooked herbage is distinctive.
