Slo.: dlakavi ipek - Habitat: South oriented mountain slope, stony Karst calcareous ground, among rocks, open, dry and sunny place, exposed to direct rain and wind, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 3-5 deg C, elevations 1.350 m (4.400 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil among rocks. - Comment: Several low, up to 0.8 m tall, bushes, heavily nibbled by goats (wildlife?). This is the first known find of this species in Mt. Kanina Mountain group and the second one in UTM square UM83. Not so long ago R.villosa was considered a very rare species in Slovenia. In 2001 it was known only in a single UTM square in far east part of the state. However, during the last years several new stands have been found particularly in western part of Slovenia.
