Blue Dasher, Male

Description:
Hey, I'm not dead (just busy). To break the chain of nothingness, here's a photo of a dragonfly I took a week or two ago. I believe it's a male blue dasher, Pachydiplax longipennis (taken in Maryland). If I ever have a kid I might name it Pachydiplax. It just rolls right off the tongue. Definitely view this one large. I think I might need to adjust the brightness. Not bad for my little camera though. Imagine what this would look like if I had a macro lens. This photo is also featured in the Encyclopedia of Life:www.eol.org/pages/1034398
