Slovenia flora doesn't know it. The most northern stands in the Adriatic Sea region are in Istria and Loinj island in the Kvarner bay, where it is quite a rare plant. More south in the Dalmatia region of Croatia it becomes much more frequent species.Asphodelus fistulosus prefers disturbed and barren places. The species can be easily recognized by its thin tubular leaves and characteristic habit. It frequently grows in large colonies. Since it can be almost 1 m tall, there is really no problem to recognize this beautiful Mediterranean plant.Ref.:(1) R.
