Description:
Folliculina boltoni Folliculinid has mounted its lorica upside down on the Hyponeuston, the aquatic area closely attached to the water surface. Obviously the water´s surface tension was more attractive for mounting of the lorica than the petri dish ore bunches of filamentous algae. Sample from a little creek near Kiel. This image was taken using Zeiss Universal with Olympus C7070 CCD camera.Image under Creative Commons License V 3.0 (CC BY-NC-SA). Mikrotechnik: Zeiss Universal, Kamera: Olympus C7070. Creative Commons License V 3.0 (CC BY-NC-SA).
