Salvia chamaedryoides - Flickr - peganum (7)
Description:
Description: A gorgeous little Salvia recently bought from Usual & Unusual Plants. As ever our moribund camera hasn't done it justice. In life the flowers are a fabulous deep inky blue and foliage is almost white. Despite the bijou leaves and flowers though, I've seen pictures of it in the USA and a mature plant can cover a large area, spreading underground as well as above apparently. Should be cold tolerant in the UK but needs as much sun and as little water as possible in winter. All things being equal I'll have babies for sale next summer. Date: 14 October 2010, 13:12. Source: Salvia chamaedryoides. Author: peganum from Small Dole, England.
