Description: English: San Luis Peak as viewed from the west. At an elevation of 14,022-foot (4273.8 m), this is the highest summit in the La Garita Wilderness. At the base of the mountain the Engelmann spruce (Picea engelmannii) has been extensively damaged by the spruce beetle (Dendroctonus rufipennis).
