24-spot ladybird
Description:
Description: This small ladybird has a very long name (Subcoccinella vigintiquattuorpunctata). Unlike other ladybirds it is a vegetarian and eats grass and weeds rather than aphids. It is unlikely to fly away home because they seldom have wings. The hairy orange wing cases have 24 spots on them although the number can vary from 0 to 26!. Date: 14 June 2016, 11:29.
