The Asiatic Lion
Description:
Description: Panthera leo persica If he looks a bit beat up, it's because he was. Apparently two other males ganged up on him in the morning, to take over his lionesses. After that the sanctuary authorities separated the males and this guy was in the outer smaller fenced in area which is open to visitors, while the other two were in the main Gir sanctuary.
