Description: Sage Thrasher (Oreoscoptes montanus) Taken on South Tufa, Mono Lake, September 15, 2007. This smallest of the thrashers is perhaps more closely related to the mockingbirds. Note the small straight bill. Probably a juvenile. Morning light and high altitude made from intense icy blue sky. Under-exposed by -0.3. Minimal PS. Date: 22 September 2007, 10:48.
