Kabuyea hostifolia - corms
Description:
In the northern provinces of Mozambique, the corms of Kabuyea hostifolia are eaten in time of scarcety, but require elaborate processing to remove toxic substances. The corms are also used as a fish poison ! Local name (Macua language of Cabo Delgado province): "ikotcho"
