Description:

Clinanthus viridiflorus, in the amaryllis family. Near Tarma, Peru (Image taken July 10, 2010). Along an upper Andean tributary to the Amazon. I believe it was along the road 22A. There only appear to be two other images of this species on the Web, both taken by Jan Emming (see FaceBook page) of the same plant, on the same day.
