Low's PaphiopedilumOrchidaceae (Orchid family)Native to Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, and Sulawesi.Oahu, Hawaii, USA (Cultivated)IUCN: EndangeredThe only Paphiopedilum species which is mostly found as an epiphyte in nature.**NOTE**While I enjoy orchids, as an environmentally conscious orchid grower in Hawaii, I am proactive when it comes to removing and properly destroying any and all seed pods from the plants so as not to encourage their spreading into our fragile native Hawaiian forests.
