2010-09-01 Lower Austria, district Bruck/Leitha - Spitzerberg nature reserve, goat/sheep heathGerman names: Hausziege, Hausschaf, Flaum-EicheA pregnant goat reaching high for the lower branches of a downy oak, which caused mayhem among the sheep attacking the branches which are now in reach, as the goat's weight was bending them down: some curios (and - of course - involuntary) teamwork! (It really looked like an "attack" on the tree: as soon as the goat bent down the twigs all the sheep were racing for them!)Goats are very agile indeed, and if this one weren't pregnant most likely it would have climbed the tree.Eine trchtige Ziege klettert halb auf eine Flaumeiche, um leckere Bltter zu ergattern - und drckt dadurch deren ste so weit herunter, dass sie in Reichweite der Schafe gelangen: ich kann aber versichern, dass die Ziege keinesfalls beabsichtigt hat, die Schafe zu fttern. ;-)Es war wirklich ein ganz besonderes Schauspiel - eine friedlich grasende Schafherde, die pltzlich panikartig zur Flaumeiche strmt, als die Tiere realisieren, dass die Ziege frisches Futter in Reichweite gebracht hat!Ziegen sind sehr beweglich, und diese wre wohl auf den Baum geklettert, wenn sie nicht trchtig gewesen wre.
