쉰들러속(Schindleria)은 망둑어목에 속하는 조기어류 속의 하나이다.[1] 쉰들러과(Schindleriidae)의 유일속이다.[2] 학명은 독일인 동물학자 오토 쉰들러(Otto Schindler, 1906–1959)의 이름에서 유래했다.[3] 남지나해부터 동부 오스트레일리아에서 떨어진 그레이트배리어리프에 이르는 태평양 남부 해역에서 발견된다.[4]
