Observations: Not much is known about the longevity of these animals, though they have been reported to live up to 7.2 years in the wild (http://www.euring.org/data_and_codes/longevity.htm). There is also one reported longevity record of 8.6 years (Moller 2006). Considering the longevity of similar species, however, maximum longevity could be significantly underestimated.
