Hairless shrubs or small trees. Leaves spirally arranged. Flowers yellow, borne in terminal pedunculate cymes. Calyx with glands inside at base. Corolla funnel-shaped; tube cylindric; limb canmpanulate with 5 hairy scales at throat. Disk 0. Ovary 2-lobed and 2-locular with 2 ovules per loculus. Fruit a fleshy drupe.
