Hato Mayor Province, Dominican Republic, Hato Mayor, west of. Dirt road heading south from highway #4 between Hato Mayor and Seybo. Road lined with living fenceposts (trees moderately large) flanked by pasture on either side. Most A. distichus caught in small patch of shaded habitat just off highway.

Photographed along the east bank of the Rio Bani, Peravia Province, Dominican Republic. This individual was photographed at the northern end of a narrow hybrid zone between A. d. ignigularis and A. d. ravitergum and appears phenotypically most similar to A. d. ignigularis.
