Magnified 1000X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology displayed by the aerobic, Gram-positive bacterium, Micromonospora sp.. This bacterium forms true mycelia that are composed of hyphae from which the reproductive spores arise. Note the many filamentous hyphae present in this micrograph.
