Description :
Trifolium fragiferum L. An escapee from cultivation introduced as a pasture and honey plant in the western United States at least as early as the 1930's and no doubt earlier; able to withstand alkaline soils, and persisting and spreading into areas with sufficient moisture One of the earliest Utah botanical collections of the species was by Dr. Seville Flowers (University of Utah) in 1941 from Utah County. Sept. 20, 2012, open space, Salt Lake County, Utah, approx. 4335 ft elev.
