MORACEAE - Small-leaved banyan (Ficus microcarpa)
Description :
This photo shows the numerous tassels of slender aerial roots hanging from the branches of a Small-leaved banyan tree which will form new supporting trunks when reaching the ground. Just like fig trees, this tree bears fig fruits but no flowers. This photo was taken in the Tsing Yi Park here in Hong Kong.
