Description: Side view of the European millipede Polyxenus lagurus. This very strange millipede is covered with detachable bristles that have the ability to entangle ants. This is a quite common species in Europe living under barks or into the ground. Real length : ~ 2 mm Focus stack of 202 pictures. Microscope objective (Nikon achromatic 10x 160/0.25) on bellow.
