Description: English: Dimorphotheca pluvialis, detail of flowerhead centre; rather unusual form of the species with bases of ray floret petals very dark purple (appearing black) and with margins at the base of each petal bend upward and shiny, with glistening hairs visible in the gap between adjacent ray florets.
