Leaves are alternate, simple, elliptic to obovate, 6–25 mm long and 2–10 mm wide; lower surface is paler. Flowers are small, solitary or 2 or 3 males and 1 or 2 females together. Perianth segments are about 1 mm long, with broad, white margins, not enlarging under fruit. Stamens are 5 and filaments are free. Fruit are capsules 1.5–2 mm wide and greenish.
