Description: Fasciolaria tulipa (Lamarck, 1816) - tulip snail shell. Gastropods are slug-like molluscs. They occur in marine, freshwater, and terrestrial environments. Many of them (snails) make a calcareous, coiled, external shell, which is used for protection from predators.
