A shrub, 1.5-2 m. high; branches terete, at first puberulent; leaves 10-17 cm. long; petiole and rachis puberulent and grooved; leaflets 1 1-17, oblong, 2-5 cm. long, 1-1.5 cm. wide, rounded at both ends or retuse at the apex, glabrous above, puberulent and somewhat paler beneath; petiolules 2-3 mm. long; panicles 1-1.5 dm. long, branched, puberulent; calyx in anthesis 3-5 mm. long, green, glandular-punctate, in fruit 8-10 mm. long; corolla white; petals about 6 mm. long, obtuse, veiny; banner with a yellowish spot at the base; pod 4-5 mm. long, puberulent, conspicuously punctate.
Type locality: Unknown; that of Microlobium: Oaxaca, near the Pacific Ocean.
Distribution: Colima to Yucatan and Guatemala.
