Cyrtodactylus sharkari Grismer, Wood, Anuar, Quah, Muin, Mohamed, Onn, Sumarli, Loredo & Heinz 2014

Sharkari's bent-toed gecko (Cyrtodactylus sharkari) is a species of lizard in the family Gekkonidae. The species is endemic to Peninsular Malaysia.^[2]

Etymology

The specific name, sharkari, is in honor of Indonesian politician Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin for his work in conservation.^[2]

Geographic range

C. sharkari is found in northeastern Peninsular Malaysia, in the federal state of Pahang.^[2]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of C. sharkari are forest and rocky areas.^[1]

Description

C. sharkari may attain a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 10 cm (3.9 in).^[2]

Reproduction

The mode of reproduction of C. sharkari is unknown.^[2]

Es endémica de las selvas de una zona kárstica del noreste de la Malasia Peninsular. Su rango altitudinal oscila alrededor de 257 msnm.

Cette espèce est endémique du Pahang en Malaisie péninsulaire^[1]. Elle se rencontre à Merapoh dans la grotte Gua Gunting.

Étymologie

Cette espèce est nommée en l'honneur de Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin.
