Description: on Ilex vomitoria, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, North Carolina, 20140324 I only found a few spores. J. Lendemer was unable to find any more spores and therefore could not confirm the determination. Specimen has been discarded. But all three(?) species in the area apparently look superficially similar, so this is probably still a useful set of photos, even if we're not 100% confident of the species.
