January 15, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. This is a view of the individual florets. Note the chaff that subtends the floret on the right. The floret is separated from the chaff on the left. You can see the ciliate pubescence on the floret on the right and the center. You can kind of see that the ray on the left is neutral.
