Gulf of Mexico Breeding Birds

The Gulf of Mexico is a unique ecosystem. It offers a variety of near-shore habitats that support breeding populations of many different species of birds. Here is just a small sample of birds that are known to nest and raise their young along the shores of the Gulf.
