Right-side fish

Adult flatfish have both eyes on one side of the body. They are born with eyes on either side of the body, but as they grow one eye migrates to join the other on the side of the body that is then facing up when the fish is resting on the bottom. Species differ on which side both eyes end up on. This collection is for species where the eyes end up on the right side. (Which, by the way, mean EOL's image cropping algorithm will be foiled, because these are usually photographed with the head to the right instead of the usual left). See also the Left-side fish.
